Lanzini played the first 59 minutes of Argentina's 4-0 win over Haiti last night.

Messi hat-trick. 643 professional goals now.

Not like you to make something about Messi. Tell us more about him.

Well done happy for the lad.

Argentina are a bit like West ham they do not know which way to go whether to stick or twist .

What you always need are very physical and very fit players I think Argentina sadly for them have very skilful players but not enough about them in midfield and defence ie regarding world class strong end to end gut buster players which you need at International level football, without defensive midfielder's or Midfielder's who track back and defend with passion you will nearly always come unstuck against the big boys.
Still worth a little punt though.

I expected more from Messi at WC
final stages ...compared to his Club form...

but agree about their dodgy defences...

Tex

Messi pretty much single-handedly dragged the national team to the final last time around and did the same during qualifying this time.

The problem for Argentina is in defence and midfield. Lots of very ordinary players.

The golden age of Argentine midfielders protecting the defence and conducting the orchestra up front have gone...

They are very average in that department these days...yes Messi is up front but he has always had a decent midfield at Barca

He'll use the World Cup to put himself in the shop window, you can't blame him really. Lets hope he gives Pellegrini the option to show him staying at West Ham is best for him.
